If there is one thing that defines our family, it is SIZE. I married into a very large family with thirteen brothers and sisters, which means extended family everywhere, and a family tree that branches in all directions. In our world, family is not just something you have, it is something you see constantly. When we have a “gathering” it involves renting a church hall!!

We come from a small town called Amherstburg, Ontario — or “The Burg” as the locals say — and if you live here long enough, you will eventually cross paths with a Major at the grocery store, the arena, the gas station, or just walking down the street.

Although our roots are in Amherstburg, we have spent the last 16 years in Hamilton, Ontario. That’s where we met, built our life, and raised our four children. Our three oldest have grown up and moved on, building lives of their own. Today, we still have our fifteen-year-old boy at home.

Eventually, the loud city and the busy pace of Hamilton no longer matched who we were or who we were becoming. We wanted space, breathing room, slower days, and a community that felt familiar. So we made a big move back to the country — back home to The Burg. And we can honestly say, we love it. We have moments where we look at each other and ask, “Why didn’t we do this sooner?” The peace, the pace, the connection, and the sense of returning to our roots has been better than we even imagined.

But enough about our family.

Let’s talk about how our tote business began — because this is where our story turns into a mission, a vision, and a service for families just like ours who want stress-free moving with less waste and more convenience.
